A Hybrid Coordinated Design Method for Power System Stabilizer and FACTS Device Based on Synchrosqueezed Wavelet Transform and Stochastic Subspace Identification

The occurrence of low-frequency electromechanical oscillations is a major problem in the effective operation power systems. scrutiny these provides substantial information about system stability and security. In this paper, new method introduced based on combination synchrosqueezed wavelet transform stochastic subspace identification (SSI) algorithm to investigate large-scale Then, estimated modes are used for design stabilizer flexible alternating current transmission (FACTS) device. optimization problem, control parameters set using hybrid approach composed Prony residual methods modified fruit fly algorithm. proposed mode estimation controller simulated MATLAB two test case systems, namely IEEE 2-ar-ea 4-generator New England-New York 68-bus 16-genera-tor simulation results demonstrate high performance local interarea modes, indicate improvements oscillation damping stability.
